TTC Bus and Streetcar Transfer Collection

Back in 1985 or so, I decided to try to collect all the bus transfers on the TTC (Toronto Transit Commission). Living out in mid-Scarborough, I knew the east Toronto transfer would be easily obtainable – it was the west Toronto transfers from the city of Etobicoke that would probably prove to be the harder ones to get. In any event, I collected as much as I could – and even kept a checklist of what transfers (TR) I had and which Time tables I had (TI). The highest route is the Gerrard 135, so that should give an indication as to when I made my checklist.

Here is the checklist and all the transfers I managed to get - I pretty much gave up this pursuit in 1988:

Some of the transfers were in less than ideal conditions – but in efforts to try to get them all, I couldn’t be too picky with some of them – as nasty as they look and some were downright nasty, muddy, icky and gross.

Routes 1 – 8 1. Armour Heights was such an interesting route – so short, very happy to land this transfer. 2. Anglesey, 3. Ancaster Park (missing), 4. Annette, 5. Avenue Road, 6. Bay, 7. Bathurst and 8. Broadview.
