A robbery at a local fish market sees the use of automatic weapons - many people are either hurt or killed during the incident. Frank and Kevin must track down the source of these automatic weapons, which have become increasingly used in crimes.
The very first scene with the duo sees Frank driving and Kevin riding in the passenger seat.

2. The Witness / "The Photographer" 3/7/85 (8/10)
Continuing from the previous episode, Frank and Kevin try to capture the gangsters
that killed two guys. Their biggest lead being professional photographs taken
during a wedding reception on a near by boat.
A side story sees Nicoles' kid in a knife fight.
There is footage outside during the day.
Spray painted on a wall - a for some reason the camera focuses on this "Poetry is Poetency"
Tom Kirkwood is able to track down a pizza shop (Izza Pizza) in Chinatown.
The car license plates is at first FYR-159 but later while still in the car it changes to FSB-546
Tommy eats about 5 or 6 slices of a pizza, while waiting for Kevin

3. Crossfire 1/31/85 (9/10)
A man looking to avenge the death of his 7 year old daughter targets the police officers that were responsible for her accidental death. Five policeman are killed, with Kevin and Lt. Hogan next on the list.

4. Necessary Force / "The Flashlight" 2/7/85 (10/10)
Kevin and Frank track down two criminals to a back alley. The two try to escape, one manages to get away, while the other gets shot by Frank when he apparently pulls out a gun. An investigation of the crime scene finds no trace of a gun; only a flashlight.
Kevin is smoking again.
Frank has a slight New Yorker accent.

A woman on the way home is attacked and raped in her house. Kevin and Frank
quickly nab a suspect and are convinced he is also responsible for six other
rapes - now they must prove his guilt.
As a side story - two unrelated murders go unsolved
There is footage of Varsity Stadium and the nearby Mr. Sub.
There is a police line up in this episode, and Frank is Suspect #1

John Dee as the Taxi Driver (You may remember John Dee from the TV show King of Kensington - he was the older gentleman among the friends that Larry King had)
Robin Ward as Deputy Mayor Thompson (Robin Ward was the local weatherman on Channel 9 here in Toronto, as well he hosted a game show called Guess What? in the mid 80's)

6. The Stranger / "The Walk in the Park" 2/21/85 (9/10)
Continuing from the previous episode, a very nervous woman walking in the park, is afraid she might be the next rape victim. She runs away from an alleged attacker. The man is picked up and taken in for questioning. It was all just a misunderstanding and he is released. However, later that same night, the woman is found murdered in the park.
There is a great fight scene in this episode. It is like a hardcore wrestling match.
Kevin runs under a closing garage door - this is seen at the start of the show
The suspect has killed in New Orleans, Los Angeles, Vancouver and has left for Toronto.

The dénouement of this episode takes place in Toronto at the CN Tower.

7. Deadlock / "Terror at Mid-South" 5/2/85 (10/10)
Frank and his date (a fellow police officer) discover a hold-up in progress at a convenience store. They nab the suspect and discover he is wanted for murder as well.
One of the best episodes in the series, if not the best. All actors, especially Sean McCann are amazing.

Mid-South is assigned to protect an Irish "Terrorist". He is taken to a residential dwelling. Kevin has issues with his philosophies and the two argue. The man storms out of the room into the kitchen - where he gets shot through the window.
Kevin makes a faux pas when he calls a woman a nurse - when she is actually a doctor

Velvet, the lead singer of the punk rock group "Crud" is found dead of an apparent drug overdose. Frank and Kevin determine such is not the case and discover the cocaine was laced with Potassium Cyanide.

10.The Fifth Man / "The Suicide" 5/23/85 (8/10)
A cleaning lady finds a man hanging over a doorway - it looks like an apparent suicide. Kevin suspects otherwise. Kevin suspicions are confirmed when a second strange killing occurs. Shortly thereafter the Feds become involved in this investigation.

11. Songbird / "The Maltese Pigeon" 11/28/85 (6/10)
Two thieves break into a jewel/rare artifacts store and steal a miniature bird statue, the value of which is $1 million dollars.
A very questionable conclusion in this episode as the main character (a woman) is able to bound and duct tape three men.
The bus terminal had buses leaving express to Detroit.
Women gets on bus that leaves at 4am
Women steals bird at midnight, told Kevin and co it was going to happen at 3am, Kevin finally clues in a goes to bus station another hour later, bus still hadn't left!
Whitey is selling a food slicer - he would make a great infomercial pitchman. "You'd expect to pay $1000 for something like this, that does only half the job!"

12. Jane the Ripper / "The Prostitute" 9/26/85 (7/10)
A man hires a prostitute and is stabbed and fatally wounded. The girl only takes some money from him. The man's body is found and it must be determined why he was stabbed and not fully robbed. As an aside, Stevie is getting flowers from an admirer.
There is a Cartographers Convention taking place in the city.
Kevin says "Get Him Out of Here!"

By man who has taken several amphetameans and who is asked to come down to the station to look at some pictures "I can look at pictures, but I don't think I'll be coming down for a long long time"

An up and coming reporter has a big story and he tells Tom Kirkwood about it. Since the source cannot be revealed, Tom advises the rookie that publishing such an article might be dangerous. The rookie leaves in a huff and is then killed by a hit and run driver.
Tom has written three novels...well half-written.
Only episode is which Tom drinks.
Bobby Taylors name appears in the by-line with Tom Kirkwood (this is the only time that someone's elses name appears with Toms)
Kevin and Frank get beat up pretty good - by two guard dogs, and Lt. Hogan! The staffs paychecks are held for evidence after Stevie gets mugged when cashing them.
Elaine uses the full name to Tom and says it's William Randolph Kirkwood.
Only episode to mention the Cop of the Month award.
Colby has written a couple of short stories.

14. Dead to Rights/"The Non-Believers" 10/3/85 (9/10)
Kevin and Frank are called to check out a domestic. When they arrived at the home, they find two dead bodies and a man fleeing the scene. A chase occurs and Frank captures the fleeing suspect. The duo discover that the victims are his sister and father; however the man insists that he is innocent.
Kevins father is not alive, he left the family very little money
During a stakeout - Frank gets 4 donuts, Kevin asks for the BearClaw but Frank said that he wanted it.

15. The Quest/"My Gun" 10/10/85 (7/10)
The unit gets tipped off to a drug deal that will be happening on the subway system. The exchange takes place and one suspect is quickly captured. In the process, the other suspect not only manages to get away, be he shoots Kevin and gets his gun.
The whole subway scene is a joke. It is late at night, yet the subway station is full of people - as if it is rush hour. The train arrives and they are only a handful of people on it. The story starts off outside of Bay station, yet when they are waiting for the train it is Sherbourne station. They get on the train and ride it for a bit. They then exit at Bay Station! To give it that authentic large US city feel - the subway and subway platform is littered with garbage. The walls are covered in spray paint. Hilarious - especially if you have ever ridden the transit system in Toronto.

Tom is covering a union strike at a local plant. Some scab workers are brought in and a melee ensues with the strikers, scabs and security. During the donnybrook Tom is witness to a security guard being fatally stabbed.

17. The Game/ "The Poker Game" 10/24/85 (8/10)
A Poker game turns deadly, when one of the participants pulls out an Uzi and proceeds to rob and shoot everyone. All the participants are dead, except one man who is a doctor.

A woman scams the elderly out of their life savings by sending fake back tax forms to them. After she arranges to get their money, she has her associate kill them.

An arsonist tries to burn down a building, but while he is setting the fire, one of the building supers comes to the basement to procure some tools. The super seems to think something fishy is going on and proceeds to investigate - he gets clubbed in the head by a wrench and dies.
Kevin's smoking is discussed - Lt. Hogan thought he stopped.
Lt. Hogan reveals he's been Lt. for 7 years and that his wife has left him twice.

20. Snow White/"A game of combat" 11/14/85 (9/10)
Two combat punks corner a man in the park - they pretend that they are going to kill him - but then they just run away. The man shaken and upset goes after the two thugs and confronts them. A fight ensues and he is eventually shot and killed for real. A mentally challenged girl witnesses it all.
Continuity flaw. Frank drives the mother and girl home. When he leaves their apartment, Kevin is waiting for him out front with the car.
There is bolt outside of the bedroom door of Debbie (the mentally challenged girl)

A voyeur in a park looking at a little girl is spotted by the girls father. He organizes a mob and corners the pervert. He is captured and held until police arrive. A dead girls body is discovered during the chase. The voyeur quickly becomes the prime suspect in two missing girl cases in the area.

A French diamond smuggler gets involved in a wild shoot-out with the appraisers and thieves. Five people are dead. The smuggler takes off with the diamonds. The smuggler accidentally leaves behind his monogram cigarette lighter, of which Colby secretly hides.
Stevies hair is at record proportions in height. Whoa - must be 1985!
Whitey calls the duo the Law & Order twins.
Whitey is selling photographs with life-sized celebrities. The celebrities are Ronald Reagan, Brian Mulroney and Princess Di. The funny thing is the celebrity photos are in Black and White, yet he is taking pictures with a Colour Polaroid.
Kevin makes a comment about Frogs and Diamonds and segways into talking about a French guy.

Kevin spots a former criminal and knows something is going down. It is a bank robbery and a shoot-out takes place. A man on the street saves Kevin from a gunshot. However, he refuses to have his picture or name appear in the paper. As it turns out, he is a fugitive who has been on the run for 15 years.
Whitey tracks down Kevin and Frank this time to give them info - funny stuff.

Scene at end where guy tells how intellectual he is, by reading all these history books and points to his bookshelf - meanwhile, a book by Disney is clearly visible.

While a meeting about a local halfway house is taking place, the murder of
a woman occurs at a nearby residence. Naturally is is assumed a 'reformed' criminal

Strange scene takes places at Nicoles bar. A conversation is taking place, while a guy listening to a Walkman is sitting in between the two people talking. He gets a drink on the house as a result.
First appearance of Whitey's Rubber Hand with the rotating fingers.
Please special attention to Nicole's Sweater - it has 1980's written all over it
Scene with Whitey makes no sense. It added nothing to the plot. Furthermore he is handcuffed and then let go from the backseat of the car - magically the handcuffs loosen.

and finds it. The intruder, still in the place, sees this and proceeds to kill
the man for the item he located.
It seems the both Kevin and Frank are driving the same car - at two different locations - at the same time.
House of Lords is featured in a particular scene.

A meat delivery truck gets hijacked. While the goods are being transferred from the one truck to another - the driver decides to fight back. He manages to kill one guy, but he gets killed in the process.

Frank seems to have a chip on his shoulder - throughout the episode.
Frank does a funny Rocky impersonation - punching meat.

A veteran cop, Eddie Shore, who is soon going to retire, is shot and killed while checking out a domestic dispute.

Late in the episode, Frank is shown riding a morotcycle down the street - the video footage is simply reversed (look a signs on the buildings).

The opening night of a new art exhibit is marred first by a crazed man and then by the murder of a guard and then finally the theft of a painting.
Whitey is selling snowshoes on a skating rink. A girl crashes into him and he yells at her "What the hell is wrong with you are you on acid?"

During a boxing match one of the opponents gets beaten so badly that he dies - cocaine is found in his system.

The chef is killed, but he manages to survive. The cops continue to try and protect him, but whoever is trying to kill him, always seems to be one step ahead.
Late in the show, someone is shot at their home, Carson, Colby and Chrsitine are told to stay there until an ambulance arrives, meanwhile Hogan, Kevin and Frank leave that place to go elsewhere after another bad guy (King Brewery). Shortly thereafter, all six of the aforementioned people show up at the brewery at the same time!

The worse episode of the entire series. Moved slower than a Molasses train in January, slower than church when you have to go to the washroom. Only reason this show got even a one was that Cynthia Dale looked beyond HOT!
