What are the theme song lyrics?

I feel the Night Heat

I feel your heart beat
Somethin' ain't right
There's too much heat in the night

I feel I feel I feel the Night Heat
I feel your heart beat
Somethin' ain't right

Do you have any screen captures from the 1987 Gemini Awards?

Yes I do.
The first image is from when the show won the Best Drama Award.
The second image is of Jeff Wincott enjoying the festivities.
The third is of the show winning the prestigious TV Guide award.
The fourth is of Allan Royal partaking in the fun of the evening.
The last is of the group at the speech podium.

Does Jeff Wincott ever act a bit crazy?

Yes....check it out.

Did Eugene Clark (Det. Colby) play football for the Toronto Argos?

Yes he did. Eugene Clark played for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League during the 1977 and 1978 seasons. He played in 20 career games, that seemed to be plagued with injuries. Click here to see a scan.

If I am looking to fence stolen credit cards where do I go?

According to Whitey in Episode 36 "Trapped", there are three guys to go to: Tony Marcos, Saul D'Herring and Sammy at the South End Tavern. There could be a fourth person, but Whitey seems hesitant enough about giving these three names to begin with and sort of back tracks on giving the last name. Also, Frank seems to think Whitey is making up these names - there is some questioning over the validity of the name Saul D'Herring.

What was the license plate # of Kevin ad Franks car?

NYO-751. It could be MYO-751, the first character is a bit hard to read. No state or province is shown on the license plate. This plate number stays consistent throughout the entire series.
*** UPDATE *** Confirmed that the plate number is indeed MYO-751 - thanks to sharp-eyed viewer Trevor. In episode 28 - Payday, the plate is clearly seen.

What is the last line spoken on the show?

While the credits are rolling during the last episode - the normal backdrop isn't shown. Instead, the credits roll over the party going on at Nicole's. It sounds like Frank says "What are we going to do now?".

Tom Kirkwood's last thought went as follows:
Crisis isn't all bad, it's a time to reassess, a time to gain a new appreciation for what we all too often take for granted. The Mid South crisis will blow over like so many in the past. In the meantime, it's given the people who work there, pause to consider what they mean to each other and the public at large. Buildings may change, bureaucrats may come and go, but the spirit of Mid South will always walk these mean streets.

Where is Nicole's Bar located in real life?

According to Stevie Vallance who was kind enough to e-mail me - she said it was actually a set constructed in a old Psych. Hospital located on Queen St E.

What are your favourite three episodes?

7. Deadlock

27. Neighbours

60. Limo

Which episodes did you like the least?

47. Masquerade

66. Tell Me a Story

83. Set For Life

Which character names did you like best?

It's a tie between the name of one of the guys you can go to to fence credit cards - Saul D'Herring (episode 36) and Cliff Coleclough (episode 14). Saul D'Herring is a funny sounding name especially if you are into fishing. Cliff Coleclough sounds like such a fake name, the guy saying for his alibi, immediately sounded guilty of the crime.

Which episodes does Kevin smoke?

Episodes 1 (Obie's Law), 3 (Crossfire), 4 (Necessary Force), 5 (Deadline), 6 (The Stranger), 7 (Lockdown), 8 (Ancient Madness), 10 (The Fifth Man).

In episode 19 (Power Play) Lt. Hogan discusses how Kevin may have stopped smoking.

Does Tom Kirkwood ever drink?

Yes, in episode 13 (The Source) under great pressure and stress seeing a fellow writer get killed by a hit and run driver - he succumbs to drinking more than just milk. Also, in the Flashback episode he also drank.

Who sings the theme song and did it come out in a 45? ** CORRECTION **

As Bob Federer e-mailed me he tells me that Roy Kenner actually sang the theme song. He and Domenic were in a number of bands. There is a terrible picture of him at: http://www.kwic.com/~pagodavista/artisans/pvista/roy.htm . I had previous given misinformation that Domenic Troiano sings the theme song. He has been performing since the late 60's/early 70's and has played with The Guess Who, among many other notable bands. Here is a picture of the 45 cover:

Stevie or Christine?

WOW! Now that's a choice I'd like to have!

Is Nicole too much baggage for Kevin?

Let's weight the factors. Kevin is a Police Officier. Always in the line of duty. Could be stressful for Nicole. Now what else has happened in her life...in Episode 2 (The Witness) her child is invovled in a knife fight at school - kids are always in fights, so this isn't too major...in Episode 36 (Trapped) - Nicole is confronted by three males, is robbed and almost raped...hmmm...in Episode 52 (Punk) she is almost killed when her refurbished car has it's brakes fail...this isn't looking to good....next we look at Episode 75 (Ain't No Cure for Love) - Not only is her bar attempted to be held up at gun point, but the guy that saves her - starts to stalk her and attempts to kill Kevin....oh gees....finally in Episode 94 (No Regrets) her mother is mugged....oh yeah and how can you forget that her husband was killed in the line of duty (Episode 62 - Flashback). Too much baggage - You decide.

Have any hockey players names ever been mentioned on the show?

Actually there have been two episodes. In Episode 30 - The Legendary Eddie Shore - the great Boston Bruin is obviously mentioned. In Episode 51 - Play the Game - Bobby Hulls name is said.

Which non-regular actors appeared in the most episodes as different characters?

A trade mark of Night Heat - use the same actors over and over again! Is the Canadian Acting Pool that thin or did the producers owe favours to these people? Regardless - it is one of the many reasons why this show is so much fun and appealing to me!
Here are the results ** Incomplete **
